Do I have to be Indigenous to become a member of UMICS?

No! You do not need to be an Indigenous person to become a member.

The University of Manitoba Indigenous Commerce Students  (UMICS) is a student group for those who identify with or have a common interest in enhancing Indigenous culture within the Asper School of Business

How much does membership cost?

It cost nothing to be a UMICS member! We wont charge you for attending our events, participating in our meetings or for your membership.

I’m Interested in becoming an executive, what should I do?

Step 1: Become a UMICS member (fill out the online application found on our website)

Step 2: Attend a UMICS meeting.

Step 3: Connect with a current executive member (a list of current executives can be found on the “Our Team” page of our website)

Step 4: Decide what executive position you’re interested in, and wait for the 2025 election in April!
